NO REFERRAL NECESSARY
We Do Not Treat Children at this time
Due to the difficulties involved in getting children to consistently take liquid or tablet medicines or to make significant dietary changes, and keep to them, (which together represent the greater part of our normal treatment protocols), successful results are generally elusive in children because the topical part of our treatment only represents a minor aspect of the treatment.
Although all our practitioners have current registration under the “Dealing with Children” code, our business stand has been for many years that we generally did not treat children under 5 years of age.
However, on 1 Oct 2022 our policy changed and although we may continue to treat children under 18 years of age who are still in current treatment, we now do not commence treatment with new patients under 18 years of age, and may not reactivate treatment for previous patients who are still under 18 years of age.
In the case of children under 5 years of age, and in cases where there is strong evidence of disruptive or other similar disorders which prevent the child/adolescent from consistency in focusing on the protocol guidelines, (conditions such as ADD / ADHD, Downs, Bipolar etc.,) the children are unlikely to benefit greatly from our treatment if they are unable/unwilling to submit to the treatment.
Additionally, there are numerous instances where older children do not submit to the treatment and so may also not benefit greatly as our treatment is intensively centred on major dietary changes and the taking of prescribed natural medicines in the form of tablets).
It would be a shame to waste resources, such as parents’ money and time and to allow their hopes to be elevated, when there may be a low probability that the child would be amenable to the treatment, and so, in that case, would be unlikely to succeed long-term.
For these reasons and others, we elected to take the action of changing our policy in October 22 and now generally only treat adults, and as a rule, do not take on children as patients.
Our Senior Practitioner Moree Coburn always retains a current “Working with Children” certification, available for inspection as displayed in our reception area. Current Expiry is 6 May 2024.
